Nvidia is powering a mega Tesla supercomputer powered by 10,000 H100 GPUs

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support Tesla has revealed its investment into a massive compute cluster comprising 10,000 Nvidia H100 GPUs specifically designed to power AI workloads. The system, which went online this week, is designed to process the mountains of data its fleet of vehicles collect with a view to accelerating the development of fully self-driving vehicles , according to its leader of AI infrastructure, Tim Zaman . Tesla has been striving for years to reach the point at which its vehicles can be considered entirely autonomous and has invested more than a billion dollars into adopting the infrastructure to make this possible. Tesla supercomputer In July 2023, CEO Elon Musk revealed the firm would invest $1 billion into building out its Dojo supercomputer over the next year. Dojo , which is based on Tesla’s own tech, began with the D1 chip, fitted with 354 custom CPU cores. Each training tile module comprises 25 D1 chips, with the base Dojo V1 configuration including

Lenovo Legion Go is the powerhouse the handheld gaming market was missing

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support First it was the Steam Deck then we had the Asus ROG Ally , and now Lenovo is jumping into the fray as the company has officially revealed its new handheld gaming device – the Legion Go. Arguably the most eye-catching aspect out of everything the Lenovo Legion Go has to offer are the detachable TrueStrike controllers. Similar to the Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons, they feature two joysticks, a directional pad, and a variety of face buttons. Fairly standard stuff.  But that’s where the similarities end because these TrueStrike controllers are capable of so much more. In total, you have 10 – yes, 10 – mappable shoulder buttons: two triggers, two bumpers, four in the back (two on each controller), plus an extra pair of inputs on the edges.  (Image credit: Lenovo) If that wasn’t enough, the right controller has a track pad on the front for controlling an on-screen cursor with a mouse wheel on the back for scrolling. On the bottom of the control

How to watch the Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct 2023

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support Super Mario Bros. Wonder is scheduled to launch in October, and being the first mainline 2D side-scrolling Mario game in over a decade, there are a lot of expectations surrounding its release.  However, even though it’s an incredibly anticipated upcoming Nintendo Switch game , we still have a lot to learn about what it plans to offer fans of the well-loved franchise. So, there’s no better time for a Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct to answer our questions almost two months before its release.  With the initial announcement of Super Mario Bros. Wonder falling at the end of the previous Nintendo Direct, we didn’t receive an incredibly deep look into the title, which today’s Direct might provide. Since the presentation has been created specifically to promote Wonder , we won’t have to worry about any alternative titles taking away screen time, and there’s ample opportunity to see what exactly Wonder is all about.  Here’s how to watch the Super

Baldur’s Gate 3 will release on Xbox “between September and November”, according to Swen Vincke

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support Larian Studios' CEO and the director of Baldur's Gate 3 , Swen Vincke, has revealed that the RPG will be launching on Xbox Series X|S before December, as the team is “actually very close” to having the game ready. Last week, Vincke confirmed that “we’ve found a solution that allows us to bring Baldur’s Gate 3 to Xbox players this year” , after the title’s release on the two consoles was initially pushed back due to technical hurdles . It was also revealed that the Xbox Series S version will no longer include split-screen co-op at launch. In a new interview with IGN, Vincke revealed that now this solution has been found, “it shouldn’t take that long” to get the enormous RPG out and in Xbox users’ hands: "It's 2023. And 2023 is narrowing, so it's already pretty precise in my book,” Vincke said. “Between September and November... So, as fast as we can honestly.” Before Larian Studios’ full focus is put on the Xbox release, h

Google's Duet AI can now write your emails for you

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support Much like its main rival, Microsoft, Google has been testing out new generative AI features for several months in its online office software, before it announced the general availability of Duet AI for Google Workspace in August. For the cost of $30 per user per month, business customers can choose to provide workers with the capabilities of GenAI, including writing and editing work in real time. Most notably, Duet AI built into Gmail can handle email creation for busy workers having to send out repetitive and frequent emails. Duet AI for Gmail is here The company announced that it would be making the feature available in Gmail at its annual Google Cloud Next conference after months of beta testing. The content-writing AI, which is available in both Gmail and Docs, turns simple prompts into a draft copy ready to be reviewed by the worker. They can also choose to tweak existing content, such as making changes to how formal it is and how detaile

DJI Mini 4 Pro: leaks, release date and price

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support When it arrived in May 2023 the DJI Mini 3 Pro impressed us so much, we ranked it as the best compact drone for most people. It earned this accolade thanks to its compact size, intelligent obstacle avoidance and the low-light performance of its 4K camera. Its tiny dimensions saw it slot neatly into the sub-250g drone category, meaning it could be flown almost anywhere without restriction. Now it looks like DJI is preparing to announce a successor, likely called the Mini 4 Pro. The timing couldn’t be better from DJI, since new US legislation coming into effect on September 16 requires drones weighing more than 250g to constantly broadcast the location of both the pilot and the aircraft itself. If the successor to the Mini 3 Pro remains below that crucial 250g limit, then owners will be free to fly their drone without the need for registration or identification. Launching the Mini 4 Pro at the end of September , as was recently suggested, would

You may have missed JLab’s teeny tiny JBuds Mini but they’re set to see a big launch

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support When it comes to the best true wireless earbuds , size matters – and big isn't necessarily better. Larger earbuds can be hard to fit, if you have smaller ears. Even if like me you have a head like a hippo's, the combination of large size and weight in some big earbuds can be wearing over longer periods.  So we're quite taken with the new JLab JBuds Mini, which are set to launch on September 1. They're smaller than many car key fobs in their case and they're absolutely tiny: each little bud weighs just 3.3g. We've already tried these buds, because our very own Matt Bolton got to play with a pair at CES earlier this year. He didn't get the chance to hear them, but he did get to experience their comfort. Matt has also tested their stablemates, the JLab Go Air Pop , which we think are the  best budget wireless earbuds in their price bracket and are essentially the same earbuds but larger – the JBuds Mini is 30% smaller.

Intel spotted gearing up with a powerful Battlemage GPU to take on Nvidia and AMD next year

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support Intel’s Battlemage graphics cards are still very much alive and kicking, if there was any doubt – and it looks like Team Blue will be making higher-end 2nd-gen GPUs to boot. Wccftech spotted a tweet from Andreas Schilling, who is editor at German tech site Hardwareluxx, and has just seen Battlemage in action. I’ve seen wafers with Emerald Rapids XCC on them, that were being cut. Not a surprise at all, but still ...Also MTL682_C0, so Meteor Lake with 6 P-Cores, 8 E-Cores and GT2 Graphic Tile tested in a C0 stepping and finally the Failure Lab already saw BMG G10 - Battlemage is real. https://t.co/rKr7au95JZ August 29, 2023 See more Specifically, Schilling informs us that on a visit to Intel in Malaysia, part of the tour took in Team Blue’s ‘Failure Lab’ in which BMG G10, a Battlemage GPU, was being put through its paces. As Schilling observes: “Battlemage is real.” Among other bits and pieces Intel showed off, the editor also got a peek

Starfield preloads are now live on Steam so you can get ahead of its massive file size

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support With Starfield releasing in a week, and early access beginning in a handful of days, players are getting set up to face what could be an incredibly lengthy download and a slight delay in take-off. But, for those who are keen to get stuck in from the moment the game unlocks, there are a few ways around these launch day download times.  Pre-loads for Starfield have been made available for those who are jumping in via Steam, so as of today you will be able to get ahead of the curve and start tackling the staggering 134.9GB file size, which is a good bit larger than those playing via Xbox Series X |S.  If you’re a proud owner of the premium edition on Xbox, you’ll have to download 116GB, or 100GB if you’re settling for the Standard Edition. Regardless of which platform you’re using, it'll be a lengthy download, so it’s definitely worth pre-loading now you have the chance.  For players on PC via PC Game Pass, or those on Xbox Series X|S, preloa

Microsoft is still blocking some of its biggest customers from running Windows apps

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support Microsoft’s decision to discourage users from running its software on other non-company clouds, by means of increased cost, is still causing a headache for Google Cloud Platform and Alibaba customers. Earlier this month, Redmond changed its terms to allow AWS customers to use its office software on the rival platform, however many are still being left out. A couple of weeks have passed since the change, and still, the company has not indicated whether similar changes may be reflected for Google and Alibaba. Microsoft discouraging rival cloud companies From August 1, Microsoft confirmed that “users with specific licenses may run Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise/business, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Visio on Amazon WorkSpaces” virtual desktop infrastructure. Microsoft declined to comment when we asked whether it would make similar concessions for Google and Alibaba.  Read more > These are the best productivity tools around >

Google may be working with Garmin on satellite texting for Android 14

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support Google has previously confirmed that texting via satellite link will be an option in Android 14 , and a new leak based on hidden snippets of code suggests that Garmin is going to be helping to make this a reality. Developer Neil Rahmouni (via SamMobile ) spotted the as-yet-unused code snippets in question, which mention a "Garmin Response" option for users wanting to get some support with their satellite texting inside Google Messages. Rahmouni previously reported that satellite connectivity was coming to Google Messages, which is the default SMS application for Android. However, the developer himself warns that "everything is subject to change" at this point. Garmin already has several products with satellite communication capabilities on the market. The company uses the Iridium satellite network, so it would appear that Android is going to tap into the same system for its own features. Looks like Google Messages may u

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra could come with a super bright screen

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support Last month we got new foldables, tablets, and smartwatches from Samsung, but we'll have to wait until early 2024 for the Samsung Galaxy S24 flagship phones – and the Ultra model is rumored to be getting a significant display upgrade. According to prolific tipster @UniverseIce , the screen on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra screen will measure 6.78 inches in size, have a 3120 x 1440 pixel resolution and 19.5:5 aspect ratio, and offer an incredible 2500 nits of peak brightness. It's that brightness spec that really stands out, considering the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra topped out at 1750 nits. It's a boost of more than 40% from the previous generation, and would make the Galaxy S24 Ultra as bright as the Oppo Find X6 Pro and just behind the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. SamMobile speculates that the new panel could be the rumored M13 screen from Samsung Display, though we'll have to wait until launch day (most likely in January or February) to

Quordle today - hints and answers for Monday, August 28 (game #581)

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support It's time for your daily dose of Quordle hints, plus the answers for both the main game and the Daily Sequence spin off.  Quordle is the only one of the many Wordle clones that I'm still playing now, around 18 months after the daily-word-game craze hit the internet, and with good reason: it's good fun, but also difficult. What's more, its makers (now the online dictionary Merriam-Webster) are also keeping it fresh in the form of a new variant called the Daily Sequence, which sees you complete four puzzles consecutively, rather than concurrently.  But Quordle is tough, so if you already find yourself searching for Wordle hints , you'll probably need some for this game too.  I'm a Quordle and Wordle fanatic who's been playing since December 2021, so I can definitely help you solve Quordle today and improve your game for tomorrow. Read on for my Quordle hints to game #581 and the answers to the main game and Daily Sequ

The Wheel of Time fans will see an 'exciting' and 'clear continuation' of Mat Cauthon in season 2 after actor recasting

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support Editor's note: this interview took place before the ongoing actors' strike, which began on July 14. The actor hired to portray Mat Cauthon in The Wheel of Time season 2 has revealed why it was "difficult" to replace previous star Barney Harris in the role. Speaking exclusively to TechRadar before the second season's release on Prime Video , Dónal Finn opened up on the challenges associated with assuming the fan-favorite role following Harris' departure.  In September 2021, Deadline reported that Harris wouldn't return as the troubled Mat Cauthon for the high fantasy series' next outing. At the time, Amazon Studios and The Wheel of Time showrunner Rafe Judkins declined to comment on why Harris had left the show. Instead, Judkins chose to thank Harris for his work and also praise what Finn brings to the role in a separate Deadline article in November of that year. With The Wheel of Time – one of the best P

The latest iPhone 15 Pro leak reveals its new, lighter weight

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support One of the changes expected for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max (or iPhone 15 Ultra) this year is a switch to a titanium chassis – and we now have an idea of how much lighter that's going to make these two phones, compared with their predecessors. According to tipster @Tech_Reve (via Notebookcheck ), the choice to replace the stainless steel frame found on previous iPhones with the stronger and lighter titanium will indeed shave a few grams off the Pro models – though the differences aren't huge. The iPhone 15 Pro is apparently going to weigh in at 191 grams, compared to the 206 grams of the iPhone 14 Pro . We're expecting the new phone to have the same dimensions as the old one though, and stick with the same screen size of 6.1 inches. Moving on to the iPhone 15 Pro Max – and we're still not sure of that name – the prediction here is a weight of 221 grams, a reduction from 240 grams for the iPhone 14 Pro Max . Again,

Retailer listings suggest Intel’s next-gen CPUs could arrive sooner than expected

Web Hosting & Remote IT Support Intel’s next-gen processors have been spotted listed by a retailer earlier than we anticipated, given the widely rumored launch date of (later in) October. As Tom’s Hardware reports, Telemart , a Ukrainian retailer, listed a bunch of ‘K’ series Raptor Lake Refresh processors on its store (models which are unlocked and can be overclocked, and are expected to be the first products Intel wheels out). The Core i9-14900K, Core i7-14700K and Core i5-14600K were the models listed – that and their KF variants, which don’t have integrated graphics. There’s no pricing info at this point, but we did see some listed specs which align with what the rumor mill has suggested in the past. Namely that these 14th-gen CPUs will be 200MHz faster than their predecessors for boost speed (in most cases, anyway – with perhaps an exception or two dropping down to a mere 100MHz increase). Furthermore, the 14700K is shown as the only chip which increases the core count,
